Mahjong 101

Beginners Class

Mahjong 101 is for anyone who is brand new to American Mahjong - or who have tried it before and still feel unsure about how it all works. If the card feels overwhelming, the tiles look confusing, or you’ve watched others play and thought, “I’d love to learn, but I don’t even know where to start,” this class is for you.

Mahjong 101 is slow-paced, encouraging, and designed to remove the intimidation factor. We break everything down step-by-step, laugh through the learning, and create a comfortable environment where questions are always welcome. You’ll leave with a foundation, confidence, and excitement to keep playing.

Guided Play

Guided Play is designed for anyone who’s completed Mahjong 101 and wants extra support. It bridges the gap between “learning” and “playing”. I’ll be at the table with you - answering questions, offering reminders, helping you read the card, and coaching you through decisions in real time. It is relaxed, encouraging, and designed to help everything click so you can walk away feeling confident and ready for Open Play.

Open Play

Experienced Players

Open Play is for players who already know the basics of American Mahjong and feel comfortable playing independently, without instruction or ongoing assistance. It’s perfect for anyone who has taken a beginner class, learned from friends, or simply wants to sharpen their skills with real-life practice.

Open Play is not a formal lesson - it’s a chance to sit at a beautiful table, shuffle stylish tiles, and enjoy the rhythm of the game with others who are learning and growing right alongside you. It’s social, supportive, and designed to make Mahjong feel fun and approachable.
